I'm getting this error message:

at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/i386-linux-thread-multi/XML/Parser.pm

I expect that means that the input file is corrupted in some fashion?  (As 
opposed to a typo in the XML parser.)

Another possibility is that I need to specify a different unicode encoding?

Any suggestions on how to address this?
